When it comes to providing wastewater service, there are often important things that happen “behind the scenes” or under the ground. So is the case with the wastewater rehabilitation project in Liberty’s Carefree service area.
From January through March, crews will clean and install structural liners in the sewer pipes in some areas of the Boulders neighborhood. The liners will help reduce groundwater infiltration, thereby reducing the volume of wastewater that needs to be treated, extend the service life of the sewer pipes, and reduce the risk of root intrusion. This will help Liberty continue delivering safe, efficient, and reliable wastewater service for customers.
While there will be some construction disruption for a couple of months, this work is necessary so customers don’t have to think twice about flushing a toilet, taking a shower, or running a load of laundry.
