Prior to Liberty Utilities acquiring the Cordes Lakes water system, residents often eperienced water shortage issues.
After acquiring the system, one of the first major infrastructure projects Liberty Utilities constructed was a new well, Well #7, to address water shortages.

Sufficient water supply is critical in order to maintain reliable water service. Well #7 will add an additional 108 gallons per minute to the system.
A new well is only effective if it is connected to the water system. The new 487 foot water main pipeline will do just that.
Replacing/Repairing broken water mains and service lines reduces “wasted” water.
New 5,000 gallon hydropneumatic storage tank provides for consistent water pressure and some storage in the water system.
Valve replacements and additions provide for better system control and the ability to isolate certain areas during work to reduce the number of customers who may be impacted by a scheduled service interruption for maintenance.
Automated well monitoring will provide operators with critical information without the need to travel to the location. This increases the speed that problems are detected and resolved improving overall system reliability.
The installation of 27 air relief valves help eliminate air pockets within the water mains. This reduces frictional losses and allows water to flow to customers with greater efficiency. (Also reduces wear and tear on booster pumps extending their mechanical life).
Mission Unit Call Out Alarm Systems – The Mission Units are installed at all 5 well sites which alert Liberty of any issues so that they can be addressed immediately before becoming a bigger problem.
