UNDER CONSTRUCTION - Headworks lift station pumps and rail replacement. Must have effective pumping to get sewer flows into the plant for treatment. Current pumps are less efficient, problematic, and obsolete. The new pumps have built in anti-clog sensors which protect against clogs, sewer backups and overflow.

Strengthening the Reliability of Our Wastewater System
The series of capital projects contribute to a more reliable and resilient wastewater system that meets state and federal standards. These projects are imperative to maintaining a system that protects your health, the health of your community, and the environment.
UNDER CONSTRUCTION - Ultra violet train 1 & 2 upgrades and panels. This upgrade provides redundancy and improved resiliency in UV treatment and disinfection, meeting treatment and permit requirements.
UNDER CONSTRUCTION - Drum filter panel replacements and nozzles. Drum filters, or Tertiary Filtration, takes place after secondary treatment to provide a final treatment stage prior to ultraviolet disinfection before it is discharged to the environment, allowing us to continue to meet permit requirements.
Lift Station Instrumentation Upgrades - New Instrumentation will allow for better control and provides alarm notifications from the treatment facility. This improvement will reduce the time to diagnose and respond to issues while improving the overall efficiency of facility operation.
Process Improvement Design - This project provides the design work for upgrades and improvements to the treatment facility. These improvements will ultimately lead to better cost efficiency and reliability of the facility.
Wastewater Treatment Plant Train 2 Upgrades - This project will install diffusers, air lifts, mixers, and other equipment in train 2 to achieve treatment process redundancy, allowing for required maintenance and repairs on train 1 to achieve proper treatment and continue to meet permit requirements to remain in compliance with ADEQ.
