Strengthening wastewater service, improving treatment reliability, and supporting long-term system performance for customers in the Entrada del Oro community.
That was the goal behind several infrastructure improvements that the Liberty team recently completed, as well as future planned upgrades.
The recently completed projects are already making a difference:
- New Equalization Basin pumps are helping improve system reliability and giving operations teams more flexibility when managing flows.
- Upgraded controls, monitoring tools, and remote alarms are providing better visibility into system conditions so teams can respond more quickly and make informed operating decisions.
Together, these improvements support customers, field teams, and the community we serve by reducing the risk of service disruptions.
Additional infrastructure work is currently underway or planned, including:
- Disinfection system upgrades and continuous online turbidity monitoring, which will support more consistent treatment performance and regulatory compliance.
- Rehabilitation of the effluent pump station to minimize the risk of equipment failures and improve reliability, efficiency, and operational control of the effluent pumping system.
- Odor scrubber and reclaimed water system improvements, to help promote more community-friendly and environmentally responsible operations.
- Installation of a new manual bar screen to help protect downstream equipment by capturing debris earlier in the process, thereby reducing wear and supporting smoother operations.
These projects are a strong example of how prudent investments in our infrastructure deliver value and benefit for our customers and communities. While each improvement addresses a specific operational need, together they contribute to building a stronger, more resilient wastewater system.
