Ever wondered how water is delivered from lower elevations to our customers at higher elevations? That’s where booster pump stations come in. These stations move water from lower elevations to storage tanks at higher elevations, where gravity can then help deliver water to customers throughout the distribution system.
In Cordes Lakes, the existing pump motors at our Antelope Booster Station had reached the end of their useful lives and needed to be replaced. Our team upgraded the station with variable frequency drive (VFD) motors and converted the electrical service for optimal motor performance. Together, these upgrades improve pumping efficiency and reliability, reduce wear on equipment, and lower energy use, helping to maintain consistent water pressure for customers while reducing operating costs for the system.
At Liberty, we continually look for cost-effective ways to improve the efficiency and durability of the infrastructure that delivers safe, reliable water service to our customers.
